Well, the local mall decided to build a new Santa village. Some how someone else acquired the old one and I got alot of the old building from them. I am still unsure if it will house the chickens or the turkeys that are coming next week. Do you think they will like it? LOL inside

I like the stained glass at the top. Lets some daylight in with some pretty colors. One of the archways will be a door and all the others will have chickenwire and an electric fence. The open door will lead to the run that I am still cleaning and working on. Here is part of the run and an old recycled goat house.

Hi, It's so cool! Is it going to be their actual coop? If so, curious to know-what kind of roof does it have, and will it need any weather-proofing on the surface (paintwise)?

It's going to be the neatest coop on BYC!

I am going to be looking at some dome designs. I think I might be able to put a 10' satelite dish on it. Haven't measured across it yet. Hope it will work.

Excellent idea using a sattelite dish. Any other ideas if the dish doesn't work? I can't for the life of me think of a top that would allow rain and debris to roll off.

PS: You gonna get fancier chickens or dress them up in order for them to "fit in" to their new digs? (Wouldn't want them to be underdressed for their new digs lol!).​

Well, it measures 9' across and look what I found in my yard.

The dish measures 10' 2" across. Seems like the perfect fit. Meant to be. And then I can decide what to use for covering up the wire mesh screen. Yes, the outside will have to be coated with Exterior paint.

Well I got the dish on top and apparently some sides are longer than the one I measured. I will still use it but, now have to think what to use to cover the screen mesh and extend some sides to cover.
