I am not an expert, and in the last year I found that I wasted money on items that did not really work for me. The metal feeders and waterer's sit idle, as I found much better feeders and waterer's which keep the feed off the floor (they peck it out) and water clean (they dirty the water VERY...
I have a storage shed as well, but the coop is in the middle. If I stored in the shed, would have to walk all the way there, then back to coop. I guess whatever works for the layout. I do have a sealed container for feed to prevent moisture.
Yes, Black Walnut and Pine. Cut them out on the bandsaw, then carve them down to shape with a knife, and then hand sand to smooth shape. Not complex, pretty easy to do, I guess you can do one in about a hour or so from the rough cutout. The hand sanding gives a good arm and hand workout, lol.
They are called Comfort Birds, many woodcarvers do them, you can look them up on the internet and get a much better explanation about them. Basically they are like a get well card.
Absolutely!! I am hoping I do not draw some super duper out of this world looking being that is totally complex. I am carving a Robin now. Just finished 23 Birds for the local SPCA fundraiser.
The style is similar to what I do in sculpture, caricature style, and you hit the mark with these drawings if that was the intent. Very Nice and thanks for sharing!!

Sorry to hear this, I would also not know what to do. I have read here on the boards about sending the bird in for a autopsy can be done. I do not know how to do that though.
I do not understand where your run will be.
Are you planning to attach the run to the coop and place it in that area or are you planning on enclosing the area with fencing and placing the coop in it?
I have a 4 x 6 raised coop with a 6 x 12 run, which is enclosed and the run roof is extended...
