    No, not yet. Wanted to wait 'til after Labor Day, after summer people left. Also, wood ducks show up at pond sometime within the next few weeks. Island is noticeably quieter already. <grin> I'll meander over to the pond this week to see if I see anything.

    Releasing babies from my home tomorrow morning. I can't, in good conscience, release them at the pond into the "jaws" of a stalking fox. At least, from my home they may have a location that is familiar and a safe haven. There is a fresh water source not far from the house where there are other wood ducks. They should head for the trees, which will take them closer to that water. <fingers crossed>
