I have two BSLs- supposed to be australorps. They lay good sized light brown, speckled gray eggs. My one BSL, Attila, LOVES hidden nests and has an obsession with black garbage bags. Polly, short for politian, is T-A-L-K-A-T-I-V-E, maybe not the best breed for a city chic. Mine are bigger, the right size for squeezing. They are very cold hardy, even though some vaseline on their combs/wattles would help. They don't take the heat the best - but I haven't lost any. Overall, great layers, friendly, and good foragers.
