I read this book cover to cover and loved it! I learned so much about breeds of poultry. There is tons of variation in these fowl! It had lots of details and the pictures were amazing.
i bought this book almost a year ago and its the best book i have. it has amazing pictures alot of poultry breeds, i suggest this book for any one who owns poultry.
Pros: Gives an interface of each breed, Had some facts about other fowl that might be of interest, Includes date when accepted into standard
Cons: Some breeds did not uphold their standard (didn't look right),
Ever had trouble deciding what breed to get? Well Storey's illustrated guide to Poultry breeds may be of assistance. From breeds like Californian grays to the elegant Yokohama this book has it. It also includes the other birds like Waterfowl, Turkeys, some Ratites, pigeons, and peafowl. I had some trouble staring at the white birds which were kinda dirty and ratty and with the Sultan I wondered why was there only a picture of a black one where was the white?
