    I’m assuming the amending of the ordinance which was the main goal to begin with. This would legalize (6) chickens in our city for all zones with a minimum of 5000 square feet, rather than properties with over 5 acres in one specific zone.

    The scales do look inflamed and the lifted scales show early signs of SLM. This article may help. Good job for catching it in the early stages, treatment should be 2-3 weeks and it should clear up soon after that and healthy scales should grow in.

    Nope, I’ve been emailing him and he hasn’t responded. Must be busy. He did respond a few weeks ago and said they are still working on it and it should be done by the end of June, however I don’t see any progress nor has he reported on any progress.

    I’m not sure that it’s a statewide issue, most cities in MA allow for chickens. It’s just a few cities in Western mass that limit or I believe it says poultry or livestock definitely not just chickens.

    Well, not really much updates about amending the ordinance. I am consistently reaching out to the council member who said something should be done by the end of May. He told me it was delayed to sometime in June. So MAYBE this month. The letter said no chickens, right? What about.. DUCKS...

    I’m in Western MA, I recently had to get rid of mine due to neighbors complaints, but I know some people around here who can take them if you’re willing to travel to Western MA.
