Hey Iowa peeps, just sharing this on here in case anyone is looking for Brinsea Ecoglows. I have them priced to sell fast since I'm moving and don't plan to be hatching. They're pretty hard to find used, I bought both of these new a couple years ago and rarely used them. Located in eastern...
I'd prefer not to ship - that would increase prices, located in eastern Iowa (Lisbon). $80 - one works great, other isn't functioning. Hopefully someone in the area can use them.

Yeah those are my paint silkies and showgirls. I've drastically reduced my flock and hope to bring some with me. We are definitely avoiding hoas, and looking outside city limits, which is why Diamond Bell Ranch is appealing.
Thanks! We are looking at relocating in the coming months. I love my silkies, showgirls, and having a couple roosters around. We plan to have an acre or two, but I understand if a neighbor complains about noise, it would be a problem even if they're legal to own. I hope to find a poultry...
Can anyone give me a rundown on how getting npip done works and cost idea? Anyone know of a current npip tester in Eastern Iowa I can contact? I've left messages for several people off the npip website but haven't heard back.
Very cute and I'm glad to hear they were shelter rescues! There's a facebook page for guinea pigs here if you want to share pictures, ask questions, get info, or just see other guinea pig related fun stuff...
Sorry to hear of your troubles suebee. I hope you find out news soon so you can get treated and feel better soon! In the meantime, have you considered using a cane when you walk out with the chickens? It might feel kind of silly, but it might give you some security knowing you have something...
Sure, and you certainly could use a blue also. I think they're a little harder to work with because the blue is a little bit more unpredictable, it can throw splash, splash paint, blue paint, but can also give you babies with nice type.
Thanks! I believe that sassy little showgirl is a cockerel. He's starting to let out some pitiful croaks. It's very funny!
Yes, you should get lots of spotted chicks from breeding well spotted paint x paint. Unfortunately paints still aren't quite where show quality silkies are in form, and...
Hopefully his neck isn't broken. You've already cleaned the wounds. Keeping him in a warm, dark, and quiet place will be the best thing you can do to give him a safe place to try recovering. Good luck.
Oh sure you could - I didn't think you had her dad. It's a good idea to bring in new quality bloodlines for breeding projects but breeding those two should be fine. If she happens to have a flaw she carries from her dad, the likelihood of the offspring having the same flaw is substantially...
Aww he's gorgeous! If you don't have paint roo, you could always put a nice quality black silkie roo in there and you could hatch some very nice babies from Zoey someday. :)
