I had to share this! I recently got married and just got back from my honeymoon (gone about 9 days-maybe four of these eggs were from before we left). When we left only 1 girl was laying about an egg a day, when we returned, my sister had all of this waiting on the table! Apparently the other...
We finally finished our chicken coop! Yay!
We still have several finishing touches and a run to add but overall the majority of the project is finished and I love it so much!
Well we figured out those guys. 2 roosters and 2 hens.
These are the smaller ones that I'm hoping to figure out the sex of. Their all about the same age.
Please let me know if these are guys or girls. The first two pics are the same little one (thinking its a guy) and I think the last three are girls. They're about 3-4 weeks old (half of my flock, the others are 1-2 weeks).

We're thinking of going back to the farmer we bought them from and buying several more since we're down to three. Do...

We're not sure what breeds they are. We drove an hour to a smaller town and got them from a farmer. He had a lot of different breeds mixed together so we let my nephew pick out which ones he wanted. We were assured they would be good laying breeds and we could return any roosters. Our city...
Hi!
I'm brand new to raising chickens! My fiance and I have three cats and a dog and I convinced him that chickens in our suburban home were exactly what we needed! He's actually super excited as well.
Eventually we'd like to one day move out to the country and have a farm/homestead but...
