Ok. My plan of action is initial scrub and soak in warm dawn dish soap water ( 15 minutes or so each chicken ) then slather on the vasoline on each birds legs. I may take up the spray from then on out after the first initial or even the first week. I only have 7 birds, so it shouldnt take too...
Yeah, the stuff at Tractor Supply here, was for bovine and it was like $110 US. Not sure how much it had in it, but it was a large box. I'll give the oils and stuff a go and report back about it in a few weeks. Ugh. Thanks for the responses! Keep the ideas coming if anyone has anything else!
What happens if it doesnt get treated? How long is the egg withdrawl with Ivermectin? I saw it in TSC and its pretty pricey. Looks like I would have to treat all birds with it? Is the Ivermectin a one time treatment? There is just so little info about it. And we dont have a chicken vet.
