Here are some pieces I did in my art class at school:
Watercolor painting of an old garage a block from the school, took me 2 hours with pencil, and 1 hour with paint.
Graphite and charcoal wolf, took around 4-6 hours total. My favorite drawing so far!
I use a piece of paper under my wrist to prevent major smudging, but when it does happen, I typically just clean it up with a good eraser. Using a higher density charcoal also helps alot too.
There is also something called kiviak, that is eaten by the Inuit in Greenland. It is a seal skin stuffed with 400-500 whole auk birds, then left to ferment under a pile of rocks for 3-18 months. It is then eaten raw. Not something that sounds particularily appetizing; not to me at least.:sick
Yeah, I grew up near the shore of lake superior, where I still live. I love boating, and swimming in flat bottomed water not over my head, but not being able to touch the bottom sends me into the worst state of absolute panic. When I kayak or paddleboard, I cant even bring myself to dip my...
Thank you! I have tried before to write a children's book, but my drawings aren't quite consistent enough to create a cohesive set of repeating characters. Who knows though, maybe I will achieve such a thing sometime in the near or distant future!:)
Edit: On second thought, maybe I will do a...
To get a nice, soft texture, you will want to use a soft, dark pencil. I use a 6B sketching pencil. Doing puppy fur is a bit like light shading, minus the blending. Make sure the pencil is not too sharp, as that will make the lines too harsh. I like to tilt the pencil slightly to get a broader...
Lovely wolf pup! As for constructive feedback, you could go for a slightly shorter, more blunt muzzle, with a proportionally larger nose than in this picture. For fur texturing, you might aim for a softer, finer, more 'floofy', texture, as the texture in this drawing makes him look quite bristly...
Pencil Wolf and gorilla I did a few months ago. I do realism in pencil, and sometimes pen. Mostly animals, but I am starting to practice portraits more as well. I can show you guys some of my random portraits if you like, they aren't very good though.
