Sorry for the bad year. I'm having one my self. Two pens are out of commission until I redo the wiring as I had coon break ins and lost chickens.
That set me back 4 to 6 chickens and my project with the Spitzhauben x Ameraucana is on hold because that pen now has the chickens from another pen...
Wooo hooo. Hatching time! I had 5 chocolate Ameraucana, 6 white Ameraucana and 4 project color Ameraucana hatch.
Sadly none of the Schijndelaar hatched.🙁
Theses two duckwing Dutch are a hard choice as well. One is friendlier than the other but they are both nice. The lighter one had a better saddle and the darker one has better lacing on his blue and of course likes me better.
The darker ones wing set is a bit off and is more and upright set...
On my Dutch I have so many choices. For the berchin I'm leand to the lighter blue because he has the lacing in his brest feathers and is calmer and friendlier than the dark blue one.
This one is a bit more aggressive. I put my hand down in front of him and he attacks instead of being curious. 🙄
Little Miss and crested Phoenix cross with the babies.
If I'm going for pets the fawn crele is better than the khaki one because he's friendlier.
Both their tails are lacking. The fawn was waiting on a pick up. I didn't pick him up so he flew across the yard to my shoulder. 🤣
All of mine are laying now but we are in the 80s temp wise. Plus I don't have them in small coops they are in with the Phoenix and free range every day.
Not sure what to really do for the ones cooped. Maybe provide a dark enclosed space for laying. All my hen want a cave to lay in.
Duckwings golden and blue golden. Got one blue out of it. Funny note my one crested Phoenix cross has decided to co mother with her and she let her. Lol.
