I used to get embroiled in this books and libraries versus Internet with memebers of my family, most of which were brought up with books. The problem I have with videos is most of them are not very good quality in my opinion. The presenters often can't present and babble on about stuff that has...
I would have thought the best way to reduce cholesterol is not to eat it in the first place, or at least be mindfull of how much cholesterol one eats.
There are lots of foods that "reduce" cholesterol. I know someone else who eats lots of oats, porridge usually, but they make their porridge with...
I've come to the conclusion that the food producers employ people to promote particular foodstuffs and diets depending on what's selling well and what isn't. :D
I've never read so much nonsense about diets.
What's more, what I have considered to be reasonably intelligent people follow some of...
I don't think it need be that complicated.
Most of the studies on food find out to the amazement of some that there are toxins/particles and poisons in out food. Some of us had already worked this out. You can't discharge waste into the rivers and slurry from the fields without it leaching into...
It's not so much that organic produce is fraudulant, it's that the hype could lead one to believe that the produce is clean. A little bit of research will show that there are no clean crops and haven't been for many years.
So, organic is less dirty hopefully in many cases.
Are we healthier...
Oh arr, I am learning as the smoke alarm reminds me; just a bit slowly.
I've learn't for example that people are pretty shocked when presented with no added sugar dishes, lets say a more rustic style of cooking.
I made a no added sugar or oil granola. Takes some getting used to.
I learn't...
It's baking trays that have really caught me out. I've got good cast iron and stainless steel pots and pans. Needing to bake more than fry, particularly seperate vegetable dishes, which I've struggled with in the past, got me up to four stainless steel baking trays. Need an endless supply of tea...
Ah, most have in one form or another. I've done a couple of dinners for people who live where I do. I know they don't cook. Family feed me more than I feed them.:D
The last guest did invite me. I can't do it. He has two very hairy cats and his friends very bouncy long haired spaniel.
The guests...
My father taught me to cook and sew. Just the basics. I've cooked all my adult life on my own or in a relationship. I cooked for the kids :rant
Most of what I've cooked over the years has been what one might call, plain food. I'm not an eating for pleasure person generally; it's all about...
I've recently made some fairly major changes to my cooking. I wasn't at all interested in cooking; done it for years out of necessity. As you point out, I had to ask myself exactly what it was I was doing with my time that was so important that I ate a rather boring and not particulalry healthy...
People are getting duped a bit with the K probiotics is my feeling. I read the above article on another news platform. I eat all that's listed in moderate amounts.
"But not everyone is convinced by the idea of developing biodegradable alternatives to conventional plastics. Some scientists argue it is far better to reduce the amount of plastic used in the first place."
I'm with this chap.⬆️
Having visited Smithfield Market,
https://www.smithfieldmarket.com/
albit many years ago and been to a couple of abattoirs I'm surprised anyone who eats meat is still alive. I've also maintained some of the precision machinery in a few canning factories.
Maybe hygiene and quality control...
