    ALABAMA!!

I absolutely hate the rain when it comes in torrents. I like just a good soaking rain. My goofy chickens will stay out in the rain and go to roost soaked to the bone.

    ALABAMA!!

Welcome to the warm side! Your location is showing perfectly.

    ALABAMA!!

Yeah, I was hoping. I have five 4 week olds and was wondering.

    ALABAMA!!

What age are the penciled runners?

    ALABAMA!!

Ah, moved out of the big city into God’s Country. My cousin and his family live in Harvest. They love it there.

    ALABAMA!!

Hello! What part of the state are you quarantining in? :lau

    ALABAMA!!

I hope all my Alabama peeps are safe this morning and didn’t suffer much damage. So far no fatalities! Thank you Lord. Today looks to be beautiful, but chilly.

    ALABAMA!!

That is very sweet of you. You stay safe as well. I live in east central Alabama and ever since the 2011 tornadoes we take this stuff seriously. We luckily escaped being hit by about 1/2 a mile to our south. It completely destroyed everything, huge houses were no longer, many chickens houses...

    ALABAMA!!

Yes! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all the rest of our Alabama neighbors.

    ALABAMA!!

I guess I’m a bit selfish because cold weather is just a terrible inconvenience. I want to be able to walk out the door in a split second, not have to bundle up with boots, coat, gloves, scarf and toboggan.

    ALABAMA!!

Yeah, I don’t like the nasty cold and would rather have the heat, preferably not in the same day though. I’m sure my birds deal with the cool weather better than the oppressive heat and humidity, but I seem to worry more about them in the cold. Probably just me though.

    ALABAMA!!

Welcome to BYC. Peep and Squirt are definitely precious as are most downy chicks. I’m not sure how old they are, but it appears you may have a little cockerel on your hands. I don’t know of a coop for sale, but keep looking and you should find one. Just my two cents, stay away from the little...

    ALABAMA!!

Hey, my cousin lives in Harvest. Such a small world. I live in Centre, actually Forney, which is just a wide spot in the road.

    ALABAMA!!

I’ve got a 9 mo SLW cockerel that I guess I’m gonna process as I don’t need him. I don’t think there are too many takers for roos much. My DH has promised one of his coworkers that we would take his 5 mo BO cockerel since he can’t keep them (Piedmont city limits). :barnie I do want a few more...

    ALABAMA!!

Yes, that is what I mean. They were also really bad in rabbits. And as a matter of fact I’ve seen him pull some from the barn cat’s kittens too! It’s gross that stuff like that even exists. Our property is surrounded by the paper mill’s timberland. I have not seen foxes, although I’m sure...

    ALABAMA!!

I remember when my granddaddy would go squirrel hunting there were certain times of the year that that “wolves” were really bad. I have no idea when that was, but I do know how disgusting the “wolves” were. I was just a kid then and I still remember watching him pull that “thang” out of the...

    ALABAMA!!

Oh my gosh, those are darling pictures of adorable chicks. I’m just around the bend (CR 29) from you in Forney.

    ALABAMA!!

Oh my goodness. How exciting. Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to hatch my own.

    ALABAMA!!

Good deal. I definitely will be meeting up with you. That just gives me something else to be excited about. You know, the CL are technically not a breed yet, but I’m hoping they will be at some point. I’m just taken by them for some reason. I kind of want to breed them, but I want to find out...
