We have 5 abandoned mallard eggs that we were able to collect and have a Brinsea 600 incubator that have been in for 26 days.
yesterday AM around 8am (a little over 24 hours ago) 2 of the duckling eggs seemed to have a “pip” in the shell. A few hours later, one more pipped. The pip is truly...

Hubby and I finally saved up to invest in a Brinsea Ova-Easy 100 model. We are so excited to try it out with the hopes of great hatch rates.
Does anyone have experience with this incubator? If so, have any advice you would like to share?
We went ahead and purchased an automatic humidifier for...

Aaaaaand we’re back..
4 years later and I’m lucky enough to need to use this app again.
Basically.. I jokingly bid on some call duck eggs (on eBay) and was surprised the next day when a “Congratulations! You won” appeared on my phone..
So here we are. Day 1.
5/9 eggs have saddled air cells...
I bought an incubator which is a disaster, not holding the temperature at all. So I have decided that I need to repurchase and thinking of a Brinsea. I only have a small budget so thinking Brinsea Eco 2 - 10 eggs, manual turning. Have people had good experiences of them? It seems you can't...
I started out with a Little Giant incubator, now I am looking to upgrade. I've heard that Brinsea incubators are some of the best, however, I keep reading reviews where some people think these two incubators are great, and others that say they don't work right. If I am spending $400-$600 I...
I have the small EcoBrooder - the old style with the solid black sides, not the new ones with the fancy posts. Unfortunately, my daughter's dog has developed a plastic-coated wire fetish. We've lost several pairs of ear-buds, numerous little cell-phone fittings ... and the bottom half of my...
Most online tutorials for the Brinsea Advanced Mini v2 incubator appear to just state how to change stuff.1 What do I set the settings to?
My current setup:
Temperature: 99.5°F
Turning: Every Hour for 8 Seconds
Cooling: Off
Day: 21 (currently on 16 for my first batch)
Humidity: Fill one side of...
Hey guys!
So I figured I'd post here to get some advice and start a thread, this might turn into a hatch-a-long so worst case scenario I can always move it (Or gracious mods if you deem it worthy to move please go right ahead).
Sooo a little background info for ya'll. I have a pair of...
My chicks are only a few days old and I’m using a large plastic tote with pine shavings on the floor as a brooder. I’m currently using the SATCO infrared R40 250 watt bulb for their heat source. At what point should I change it out for a standard 60 watt bulb? Or is there a heating pad (don’t...
We would like to try our hand at hatching some eggs, however the Brinsea brand incubators are far outside my price point. Are there any other brands of incubators that cost less but that do a good job?
I hate it and a won't use it for chicks under 2 weeks old. Couldn't control pasty butt in my chicks. Never had that problem with heat lamps. Than I realised their drinking water wasn't staying warm like baby chicks need it to be..went back to heat lamps for first 2 weeks. No more pasty butt.

Hello! I brought an egg in from my coop and put it in my Brinsea Mini Advanced because the mama hen stopped sitting on it. I have no idea exactly how old the chick in the egg is, however I know it’s nearing the end. My question is is it more dangerous to turn the humidity up and temperature down...
