    Hello all I’ve had this coturnix quail for about a year now, and she’s been having problems. She started constantly panting a month after I bought her, we’ve been to the vet but the medicine he gave didn’t help.     First official pip! Here we go! 😍

    I’ve actually counted 11 (of 26! 84% of the eggs incubated were still ticking along at the start of lockdown! 🙌🏻) hairline cracks… of COURSE the first obvious pip is at the wrong end though 🙄 Quail chicks: always working hard to die under even the most ideal circumstances! 😅 I’ll keep y’all...

    What to add to this coop?

    Hi! Reused this old rabbit hutch and turned it into a coop for these coturnix (2/3 in pic). So far I have three food sites, three water sites, 4 ways to hide, and a few plants to cover. What else should or could I add to this to make them more comfortable? More fake plants? Real plants ?

    First egg today!!!

    I’m so excited! I was refilling the feeder on one of my quail cages after work today and found this little egg!!! I’m not sure who laid it but it is crazy how happy it has made me.
