    What breed is this?

Hi everyone! This is my first post. We ordered 10 Barred Rock pullets from Rural King, but ended up with only 4 actually being BRs. Two others I think are going to be Leghorns, and the rest look like this little girl. Can anyone tell me what she might be? Thanks in advance! (She is about 3 weeks...

    Please help Identify

Hello all, when my uncle got a few of his chicken he was told the ones in the picture were Crevecoeur, however I have been looking online a lot and I don't think they are. At first I thought they might be Houdan. If y'all could help shed some light on these sweeties I would greatly appreciate...

    What is this chicken?

I was under the impression that this was a little male d'anver but it doesn't look like others. It's little and doesn't have any exaggerated plumage. This is a chicken at a demo farm I volunteer at, not my own.

1 Week Old Chick Breed Identification

I received baby chicks from an online hatchery a week ago and got 28 assorted chicks. There is an assortment of meat birds and egg layers which were not separated. Can anyone decipher what breed is which? We're assuming they threw in a couple rare breeds because we only ordered 26 yet received...

    Need help identifying breed.

I'm a first-time flock owner and got myself a mixture. They are all about four months ( a little older maybe) One of my silkie chicks is looking quite a bit different than the others and thought she/he might be mixed. Then I I have 2 bantams, one seems obviously male and the other female, but I...

A little help needed identifying the breed of our hens.

When we picked our chickens the woman breeding them stated they were a few different breeds. They were separated by sex so we are pretty sure they are hens but would like a little expert opinion on our ladies. Here are a few pictures snapped today. Thanks for any feedback. :)

Is this chick an Easter Egger?

Hi everybody! I am new to the group and I know this is a pretty common question. As a new chicken owner, it's hard to ID based on pictures online since all chicks look so different to me ha! This little chick (Barb) was, of course, sold to me as an Araucana but I'm guessing she's an Easter...

    Gosling ID

Hi :) I'm a new goose mom and I recently rescued a little gosling. A woman was driving home up our road and saw him in the middle of it; he came right up to her and everything, so she was going around asking who owned him. My mom is an experienced vet tech so we took him in. There is one farm...

    Identify my chicks?

I have a two week old Yellow, and 1 week old Black chick (I think a Crested Polish), both from white eggs. We received the eggs from a random batch from a local farmer who keeps a huge mixture of chickens, he couldn't tell us from which chicken they were laid by... I suppose it is a little...
