Newbie chicken mom. Just noticed my 12 week old Sage Egger pullet's face is swollen on one side. Her beak seems splayed and there is swelling in her mouth. Any idea what this could be? What can I do to help her?
Thank you!!
So I’m new to this site and I also did Bumblefoot surgery for the first time. I’m posting pics to get opinions on if it looks like I got it all out? I have her separated and her foot wrapped up that I’ll check in a few days.
Thanks for any responses!
My main flock got Coryza after we moved. I'm vegan I won't hurt them, I've been treating them and cleaning their eyes 7 dead already. What will it look like from here? What do I do? I'm devastated, my three smaller flocks are separate and appear okay, I'm not certain my whole main flock is...
Hi I'm a little worried about my rooster's comb
I believe he was pecked and he has an open wound between the top spurs. At first, I noticed it was dirty with black dirt but now I notice that it has puss. I'm worried that it may have infected my other chickens because now I notice their combs...
Hi,
I've been posting threads for the past few weeks in regards to my now five week old white crested. She has an infection in her eye (we think from getting to close to the heat lamp as a baby) I have been rinsing it with saline and applying Terramycin to her eye, but it does not seem to be...
I have an 8 month old Golden laced Wyandotte that has a swollen earlobe and wattles. Just noticed today but can't be very old as we are with them most days. Looks like she has an injury on the wattle and it must have gotten infected. She's not showing any signs of fatigue and she is still laying...
Hi all,
I have a white leg horn chicken for 11 years now and recently started to notice a black round infection growing on her wattle in the past year (refer to pictures). Before it all turned black, I noticed blood coming out of this area which soon then later turned out like this. Kinda looks...
I have a chinese painted quail I noticed had a slight limp, even with that she was a pain to catch for a check up so it wasn't causing her mobility problems. When I finally caught her, I noticed she had a cut on her toe and it was swollen and slightly discoloured, as if infected. I gave it a...
While clipping my little ducks toenails, we accidently cut one a little too short and she started to bleed. We read on here that flour is one of the things that can stop bleeding so we've put that on and she hasn't bled anymore. What can I do to make sure it doesn't get infected. We're changing...
