I'm only at 15 years sober! :yesss:
007Sean, Congratulations on 15 years of sobriety!.png

Actually, quitting both was easier than I had expected. I don't crave either one since I quit. In fact, I've gone back to my hatered of the smell of smoke, like when I was a kid. I didn't start smoking until I was 30, I started drinking at 10 years old. My parents would rather me drink at home than to be out somewhere else getting drunk.
As an indigenous person, alcohol has wreak havoc on my family. Grandfather, sister and myself were alcoholics. My sister (52yo) and grandfather(72yo) died from being alcoholic. My mother and father both heavy drinkers but not alcoholics, as well as the rest of my family.
I look back on it all now, and wonder how I got through school/college or was even able to keep a job. :idunno

Just my fight was smoking.
My step Dad was a alcoholic cost him his kids.
His wife then died from it.
Ma did not connect with him for 40 years after.
He was faced with the loss of her and their home in his 70's.
He did give up the booze then go figure !
