With bantams, you generally have to wait till they lay an egg or crow. You can keep an eye on their combs to see how big they are.

Umm, that is not true. Bantams mature just as fast as the standard breeds, and can be usually sexed at six weeks, as well. Also, breeds like the D'uccle bantams mature super early, and can mostly be sexed at four weeks.
