10x10 run plans?

No matter where you get one (and used ones can often be found on Craigslist or whatnot) it'll need to be reinforced. At the absolute minimum it should be covered with netting or wire mesh, aproned with wire mesh, and have 1/2" hardware cloth around the bottom few feet to prevent predator reach ins. But it makes a good base structure to build off of if you're not sure about building one yourself.

(Note that my set up is NOT predator proofed, just predator resistant.)

What if I picked up some free chainlink? Would that work? I can always reinforce it with pallets, and hardware cloth. How hard would it be to build a roof on top?

That would work too, if you know how to install chain link fencing. I only suggested a kennel kit as an easy "in a box" option, but if you can install an actual fence, that would be more secure.

Roofing would be trickier as you'd need to add a slope to deal with rain and occasional snow.

I have a dog kennel that I widened. Half the roof is the kennel roof. The other half is welded wire supported by 4x4s and with tarps over the whole thing. I'm making a new run in spring with 6 ft t-posts and woven wire fencing, and electrifying it. I'll cover it with heavy duty bird netting. But here is the temporary run as I was finishing its setup after we brought it with us to our new house:

I was trying to find a pic, but I saw someone's run made with corrugated vinyl supported by wood to make a slope. It was attached to the run (I think the run was chain link) using the brackets for fences. It was really well done. Wish I could find it now....

What would you do instead of roofing? let it be open top and the weather can just come on in?
