11 Day Old Chick, Mimics Chirping Motion But No Sound

I know there's an answer somewhere but maybe because I'm trying to work on a deadline for work and help this baby chick I can't seem to find it.

Have an 11 day old Plymouth Rock that we've had since hatching and was sent to us. Was doing fine about 5 hrs ago when I cleaned out the brooder. I just went in about 40 minutes ago to check on them and found her like this... mimicing the chirping motion but either no sound our a very very light raspy sound comes out. She is standing but she won't move. Most of the time her eyes are closed.

Have her in a shoe box next to me at my desk and every chance I get I give her some sugar water with a straw since I can't leave to go to the store due to work.

I've taken some chick starter and mixed with warm water. Put a little bit of the mash on my finger and try to get her to eat it but she just flaps her wings at me.

She is pooping, about an inbetween size of a mouse & rat poop. 3 droppings in the past 30 minutes.

I have no one to go to the store for me as they're at a party out of town and I'm stuck at work till 10pm and will only have Walmart available if she makes it that long.

Any insight would be helpful. Thank you

ETA.. It's been about a 2 hours since I found her like this. As i watch her she is moving around in the shoebox a little but now seems to sneeze once in a while.

Been 3 hrs since I first posted. I made a hard boiled egg and gave her some. Took her an hour to finally show any issue in food at all. She still sneezes occasionally. Plus, her chirp sounds harsh and isn't very loud.

She still has fight in her when I try to pick her up. Keeping her quarantined still though.

5 hrs later since this all started. She's sneezing still but not as frequent. When she chirps it's incredibly raspy. I put her back in the brooder to observe her behavior some more.

She will move with the rest of the gals from one side to the next but when they're in the feeding area and everyo eating or drinking she just stands around. A couple times she stood on top of the feeder but never ate.

Her interest in food has seemed to disappear again.

All lights are off but the heat lamp and every gal is asleep laying down except her. She's standing up. Falling asleep, droopy head wakes up in a start repeat process but won't lay down.

I'm giving her electrolytes and probiotics water via a dropper as she still won't drink on her own.

I feel like I'm just prolonging the inevitable at this point. Could be because I have no clue what I'm doing and tired of talking to the dog about what to do while fighting to stay awake.

Checked on her through the night and syringe feed her water. She hasn't improved but she hasn't worsen. Watered the msg down even more and was bow to syringe feed her a little more.

2.5 hrs till the feed gore opens. Yet still not sure why to get her. Do I do an antibiotic for the sneezing? Do I try Nutri-dench? Or will I just be tossing away the last of money away because I'm delaying the inevitable.

Does she have a heat lamp? What temp is the shoebox? Are you using shavings? What kind?

It could be Coccidiosis, in which case you'll need Corid.

Yes she does temp is 89-92 ish depending on if the door to the room is left open. Using natural pine bedding. Was using dry den for a couple days then switched.

So I needed a break, put the teen in charge of giving electrolyte/probiotic combo while I left for a 3 mile run. Stopped at the store and grabbed some unflavored Greek yogurt. Mixed that up w/ the feed and water combo and syringe feed her drops of it at a time for about 30 minutes. My goodness that was incredibly slow process to feed about 1/2 tsp of feed to a chick who doesn't want to eat.

Put the teen back in charge and headed off to the feed store. Picked up some powered Corid. We've made a gallon w/ 1/2 tsp of the stuff. Syringe feed her some of that water combo. My daughter mentioned that her color was picking back up, so I put some regular chick starter on a plate in the 'chick hospital' and put her down.

For the first time in 24 hours she willingly ate on her own!

She's still quarantined, under the heat lamp and will still get syringe fed Corid water combo as she is still not touching the water cup in with her.

But here's to hoping this is a small step to the right direction.

The dose is absolutely no less than 1.5 Tablespoons per gallon for the 20% powder. You'll need to give it to your chick for seven full days.

After, treat with vitamins and probiotics.

I am *so* happy to hear you got the Corid. It's wonderful stuff. If you have other chickens, I advise using the same dose and giving it to them for seven days as well. Make sure this is the ONLY water they can access during the treatment.

It is very gentle, works as a preventative, has no withdrawal period, and won't bother your chickens at all.

Wasn't aware of it being tablespoons. I went by the chart below. But I'll definitely add more to the water. And will give the rest of the gals some too. Thanks for the correction.

Since her eating and drinking from the syringe, she has broken out of her chick hospital over 8 times. Always fun to find her mosey about the laundry room like she owns the place. I love seeing that she's perked up.

I did put her back in the brooder for little bits at a time to just monitor her and let her have some interaction with the others. Still not touching the food or water but she is loving to jump on their backs when they're sleeping. That's progress from not moving and looking like death so I'll take this and continue to monitor her.
