Hi, sorry to butt in, but I was wondering if you have any idea if this is a hen or a roo?

She/he is a 10 weeks old buff orpington. I kind of afraid that it's a roo.... but I'm not very experienced

I'm going to say that he might be a rooster, but you can never tell until he crows

cmlew99, I just wanted to tell you that you were right! Penny has turned out to be Mr. Penny

, and as long as he and our other rooster behave together we will keep him. He is now about 18 weeks old really friendly, he's never shown any hostility at all to me or the other girls. He still hasn't crowed (that I've heard) but I think it's pretty safe to say that he's a little boy
