12 week (3 month) Chick Pictures

Someone else on BYC started a thread of 8 Week chicks. (Sorry - Can't remember the name). I thought it was a brilliant idea. As a newbie myself I am always wondering what my chicks will look like in the coming weeks. And I had a hard time finding pictures in a central location. So thought I would start several threads t continue this. After 8 weeks I thought I'd just do monthly pics.

Please add your own pics of your chicks at these ages. And please put in breed so all us newbies can get an idea of what our babies will look like

Here are mine at 12 weeks. If you've been following the other threads - We had to rehome our Cockerel (Hedwig the Splash English Orpington) so you'll notice we're missing one.

Bella (Black English Orpington) - Pullet


Ebony (Black Australorp) - Pullet


JiJi (Barred Rock) - Pullet


Luna (Gold Sex Link) - Pullet




We also added another pullet to the flock when we had to rehome Hedwig. Lacy is a Silver Laced Wyandotte and is 7 months so really shouldn't be in this thread but I couldn't leave her out!

Bella is my one bird from a breeder. She is a looker! And very chatty in a quiet sort of way!

Just wish we could have kept the Splash Orpington from the same breeder. He looked like he was going to be gorgeous!

these are my sussex chicks they are now 12 weeks old today pretty sure they are both pullets their combs have not grown much and have stayed this size since they were 8 weeks we put six fertilised eggs under a broody hen 2 hatched and we were surprised to get one of each color
