He's 13. Its winter and he has a pin in the garage which we keep between 55 and 65 during the night/day (night heat/lights off, day heat on when needed to keep it around 65 - he's never liked it too warm). Monday he wasn't interested in eating but did nibble his food. Yesterday and today, nada. Still drinking well (water has electrolytes in it) but just not eating. Changed out his food 100% in new/fresh every other feed and still nothing...just a nibble then goes back to a corner. Is it just "that" time (rainbow bridge) or is there something we're missing. Have no clue on fowl vets in the area. Our equine vet knows of no one nor does our cat vet (Parker, CO area).

thoughts?

thanks

It's possible that he may be reaching his time, 13 is quite old. Has there been any changes to his routine or housing that may have unsettled him?
Have you tried adding water to his food, making it more of a soupy/mash consistency? Sometimes that perks their interest. Or try treats, like some peas or something he tends to enjoy.
Does he have the company of any other ducks?

Beloved, thanks for the reply. No real changes n his environment. He's been inside in his pen since October (same pen he's been in every winter for the last 13 years). We just picked up some peas today and going to try those. Other company - two eight year old hens and 14 year old Rooster...separate pens, just next to him.
