Gotta hate those chicken laws. Perhaps they'll have leniency?I am in one MAJORLY official SULK! The law has been laid down. Actually, "The Law" has been quoted. I'm already ... ummm ... "slightly" ... over the allowable limit, but who can count all those look-alike little bantams when they're all running around in the snow like that?
Regardless, the verdict has been announced by all of the Powers That Be:
"NO HATCHING UNTIL THE FLOCK DROPS BY AT LEAST TEN BIRDS!"
I guess that means I'll be sadly, but earnestly watching from the sidelines, this Spring, which has brought me to the following conclusions:
1. Life is NOT FAIR
2. My children are MEAN ... and ...
3. Chicken Math STINKS!
((( ... {{{ ... sigh ... }}} ... )))
Good luck! How awesome! I had planned to breed some hens this spring- maybe I can convince the family to let me set the eggs a bit early
Yes, it's quite early for a hatch in a lot of climates. Let us know what you decide.I will see what I can do. May be too early for me this year.
