We ordered 3 female chicks from chickensforbackyards.com; a Plymouth Rock, a Rhode Island White. We got 2 extra and we are worried they might be females. This chick has a yellow spot is it a male?

Plymouth Rock is a breed that comes in multiple colors.

Barred Plymouth Rocks are a popular color. If that is what you ordered, you can expect both males and females to be colored like the chick you show, including the yellow spot on top of the head.

You said you ordered 3 chicks, but then you only listed 2 breeds. Did you order two of one breed?

Also Black Australorp, we are assuming that these two are black australorps but can't determine the sex.

In that case, I think the hatchery sent one Barred Plymouth Rock (black with a yellow dot on the head), and two each of the Black Australorp and the Rhode Island White.

I cannot tell the sex of any of them yet.

Regarding the spot on the head of the Barred Rock, it is fairly common for the females to have a smaller headspot than the males. So that suggests that your chick might be female, but I would not trust it enough to be completely sure at this point.
