Do you currently have 55 Flowery Hens? Who did you get them from?

Oh, sorry I missed the clarifying punctuation and/or grammar there. I've never had 55 flowery hens. I was just saying they are on my breed wishlist for if I could have more chickens.

The rooster and first pullet look like some sort of mottled ginger red, so I want to try to breed them true

The second pullet is their full sister. She looks to to partridge mottled so I plan to rebreed her porcelain brother and mother together to try to get a partridge mottled rooster, a few more of the ginger red mottleds and some more porcelains. What I will use (Hen) Silver Ginger Project (Fawn x Porcelain) x Porcelain (rooster).

My Barnevelders laid light tan eggs that sometimes had a bloom making them look pink or lavender- ish. When I purchased Barnevelder eggs, they were slightly darker, but I wouldn't call them brown.

I have to look the up again. I never realized that Swedish Flower Hens laid white eggs...

The eggs shown in the Meyer website seem to be medium brown. It’s okay if they lay a lighter color too, the golden cuckoo maran should check the darker layer box for me.

My wish list is Wyandottes a few more Legbars, either Cream or Opal and Chanteclers.

The later being very hard to find hatching eggs.

Being in Northern Minnesota, I'd like to steer towards cold hardier birds.

I currently have 6 Silverrudd's ( my roo is a Silverrudd) 1 Welsummer, 1 Opal Legbar, 3 BCM and 3 Orpingtons, which are going to another home in the spring)

The Silverrudd's I will hatch some chicks come spring.

My plan is to breed my purebred bantams towards sop. That consists of White Black Tailed Jap, Brown Red Jap, Millie Fleur D’Uccles, Porcelain D’Uccles, Fawn, silver, Khakis OEGB, Porcelain OEGB, Lavender OEGB Buff Brahma bantam, and Light Brahma bantam. I’ll also be breeding my mixed bantams and my mixed standard flock. Hopefully I’ll have lots of buyers and sell all my babies.

I will also be breeding my projects. Brown Red Mottled D’Uccles, Silkied D’Uccles, bantam EE, and possibly a couple OEGB projects and my own line of Brown Red D’Uccles.

My hope is that I may be able to trade some of my Purebred chicks for hatching eggs of a few verities of show quality bantams or get them on eBay. I’d love to finally get Modern Game Bantam this year but we will see.

Sometimes, early or mid-spring. Have to separate the bantams and the big birds in case the little guy can make it work...

That sounds like an awesome projet ( ) idea! I say totally go for it!
