I have 4 week old chicks and have no idea on breed or gender. Any ideas ? I think they may all be Roos 🫣 #2 is a Cochin and had early tail feathers so I felt confident it was a female but now with the comb I’m unsure .

Darn 😬. I was really hoping to have at least one be a pullet. Well I better research bachelor flocks cause I’m definitely in a terrible position with three roosters already in my coop and now these🫣. Definitely Regret not ordering them and buying local.

I think it’s just hard as you commit to caring for them and then realize you have no control over nature and ultimately nature wins 😂. I just rehomed one and will work on the others.

Updating my post . Here are the two black ones again. Comb is much more pale in person and speckled on first one (husband took photo). I’m still unsure as they are now over 7weeks. Much more pale comb than my other confirmed cockerel who crows.

7 weeks old? Both cockerels. Their combs are way too large for a female at that age.
