Chicken oddities: what’s something you wish your chicken/chickens didn’t do?

Pics
They have a massive area to free range but seem to only poop on the patio and door mat. They also seem to enjoy nasty weather and refuse to use the sheltered part of the run unless it is nice weather.
Right everybody says to keep them dry and warm . . . mine are out in the rain with the gate to the run wide open . .they could go in, but no . . .I swear they're ducks with chicken beaks.

I have light brahmas and lavender cochins who are a light silver. They do the exact same! The last giant storm we had with a baby tornado, tore down their front run, so we had to move them to the back. It rained for a week straight. Never a light mist, but always full on rain and the lows were in the mid 30'sF. I swear they refused to take cover. There's hiding spots all over the large run, but no! Rolling in the mud puddles and standing in the rain soaking wet. I kept putting them in the coop to dry off, and they refused to stay and dry off. Finally I gave up. They are still alive, so that's good. 🙄😆
But yeah, these light colored booted chooks love the mud for some reason. My dark brahmas and black cochins don't do it.
Maybe they're trying to blend in with the darker chickens, lol.

Fun thread. I have this one hen that likes to stand around the run and yell for no reason. She is SO loud I can hear her 100 feet away from inside my house with the doors and windows closed. It's not the egg song, it's not the alarm call, it's not anything I can identify and it's not anything that any of my other chickens do. So why TF does she do that?!? It drives me nuts! Actually it's not the sound itself that drives me nuts - it's the fact that my city neighbors hate me already because of the chickens, so each yell is a stab of worry that they're gonna come after me AGAIN...

The first one, I swear it sounds like she's laughing, lol.

Watching my tiny D'uccle rooster hunker down in +70 mph winds refusing to seek shelter baffles me. Watching the hens enjoy bad weather but run from the sprinkler or hose also baffles me. They jump into the water bowls that are around the yard but don't like puddles. They make no sense!

One of my cockerels is so dim, I swear I could put a pot of boiling water over a fire and he'd be the first one in.
