Help! This mystery chick is ~8 weeks and has 5 toes. Any idea of breed? We got her from our local hardware store and all I know is she’s not an Easter egger 🤣

W hat makes you think she's not an EE? They're mixed breeds so there's no set look for them. It's just birds with a blue layer in their background

I just have never seen a 5-toed one & this one looks distinctly different from our other EEs in the flock (the others have a much more prominent stripe in their feathers). But I’m relatively new to raising chickens so could definitely be wrong!

The only five toed birds I know of are salmon favorelle and Houdan, maybe some bantams too but I don’t know anything about those. I would guess she is an adorable mixed breed.

Favaucana? I'm pretty sure some hatchery sells Faverolles/Ameraucana crosses with that name.

If "Easter Egger" means any chicken that lays blue or green eggs and does not belong to a recognized pure breed, then Favaucanas would be Easter Eggers just as much as other Ameraucana-mixes and Legbar-mixes and mixes-of-mixes that are sold with various names by various hatcheries.

Edit to add: the "Green Queen" Easter Eggers sold by mypetchicken are another possibility, as the description says they can sometimes have 5 toes, along with a variety of feather colors and other traits.

I’m sorry to be so contradictory to all the other answers to this post, but if it had feathered legs I would say that is DEFINITELY a Salmon Faverolle. But since it doesn’t, it must be a mix. Can we have a recent picture, please?
