hello!
i recently brought home a chick a week and a half ago from my local feed store — she was in with the Black Australorp chicks but, from the get go, she didn’t look like that to me.

attached is her picture.

she’s grey with black and is now developing copper flecking on her wing feather tips (you may have to zoom in to see it.)
she looks darker in these pictures than she is in person.
she also has these half grey, half black wings.
no feathered feet and she has yellowish colored feet.

any information or idea would be greatly appreciated!!!

here’s a better look at her coloring.
this is more true as to what you see in person.
she’s just shy of 2 weeks.
her feet look more pink today.
she was labeled as a black australorp.

Interesting colors. Could be a blue Copper Marans or a Rhode Island blue. I wouldn't expect to see brown flecks in blue Australorps, Sapphire Gems or Andalusians.

I think this one will need to grow and feather in more. It may become more obvious with time.

could it be a blue copper maran even without feathered feet?

Usually Marans have feathered feet in this country. I took a closer look and noticed its comb looks to be a pea comb. Not positive on this, but if it does have a pea comb, then it is an olive egger or Easter egger of some kind.
thank you so much for your help!
i’ll try to remember to come back and update at a later date.
all i can say is… i don’t believe she’s a black australorp.
