I got three grey chicks at TSC, they had Sapphire Olive Eggers in the same tub as Sapphire Gem (because they were both premium pullets, even though they look so similar) But anyway, the young employee picked out what he though was two OEs because they had more yellow on their bellies, and one Sapphire Gem, with less yellow. But I was wondering what you all think they are. They're about a week old. Thanks for looking. We love them so much already, no matter what they are

Picture 1 (Elsa)
-All yellow feet, yellow on belly and chest, little yellow wing feathers starting

Pictures 2-3 (Dorothy)
-Mostly black feet, yellow on belly but not as much on chest, black wing feathers. Had a small dot on her beak when we got her, but thats gone now

Pictures 4-5 (Olaf)
-Feet half yellow and half black, yellow on belly and chest, black wing feathers starting

From what I've read, Sapphire olive eggers have a little poof on their heads, and that might not be visible until later.

Olaf looks to have a pea comb and possibly fluffy cheeks, so that one may be an Easter egger or an olive egger.

Good to know. I'll keep watching for a poof.

I think they are sapphire OE's because the coloring doesn't appear to look like that of a sapphire gem's to me.
My sapphire gems were more a a blue-ish color as babies- no white/yellow on them, with the exception a small white dot on their head (if they were a male.)

The crest will start forming in a few weeks if they are sapphire olive eggers :)
Keep us updated☺️

Thanks so much! I will definitely update in a few weeks with more pictures. And 3 OE's would be fun too. I was hoping the Sapphire gem would add some more consistent laying but really they're all just for fun.

4 week updates. These little girls are now 4.5ish weeks old.
Elsa looks the most different, she's much lighter than the other two. First picture
Olaf and Dot have similar coloring but Olaf definitely has a more pronounced crest than Dot.O laf is second picture and Dot is third Not really any noticeable yellow anywhere anymore, and both Dot and Olaf have all dark feet now, no more yellow. Elsas still has yellow feet

Its been so fun already, watching them grow. And I think maybe I did get what I asked for at TSC, and have one Sapphire gem and two sapphire olive eggers?
