Backpack, but for turkeys

Through a combination of a Garmin forerunner and Airtags, I found all the hidden nests :yesss: I retrieve their eggs daily, but they return to the same spot.

Will they go broody with no eggs in the nest? Or will they continue to lay for the rest of the season?

It depends on the individual hen. I have one hen currently broody on one egg plus one fake egg. Another hen is broody on a single fake egg. The other hens are still laying.

I have 2 that are seriously broody, only about 7 months old, she is sitting on quite the clutch, one nicked everyone else's eggs and is co-brooding with another hen. We hatched 8 in the incubator, never thinking they would go broody this soon! We may have a LOT of turkey this fall. ;-)
