Seems like there was poop blocking her vent. But you are doing the right thing by soaking it. I've also tried applying a warm wet washcloth and kind of rubbing it gently on there to moisten and disintegrate the poop and that works good as well

Her vent has gone back in the right spot, Is much less red and swollen, but it’s still a bit raised
I have noticed that she seems to massage her butt to poop..? She also still gets a very poop soaked butt

Do you have updated photos?

Sounds like she's leaking, so there may still be some swelling there.

Do you have an anti-inflammatory cream or ointment you can put on the vent?

What does leaking mean?
I’ll get some photos today
I put sudocream on it which is a zinc based cream, for rashes and other irritation

If the bottom is poopy and soaked, either the chick is sitting in it's own waste or poop/urates/fluid is leaking from the vent (no retention/muscle control).

Sudocream will help protect the skin from being so irritated from the runny poop. An anti-inflammatory cream may help reduce swelling.

Can you explain more of what that means? She’s able to expel it but it seems to get stuck partway out, then she uses her beak to get it
