60 MPH gusts toppled our 8 x 16 run

Yes, we really got hammered in VA. Our count now on 13 acres is 25 trees down due to those winds. My hoop coop is anchored by t posts and it never budged. My dog kennel chain link runs for the chickens have metal roofs . They are well attached to the 8x10 cedar sided coop that has a metal roof with a sky light. But i think those rebar j hooks could be added for extra security.
Would you be willing to share pictures of your runs and coop?

One other thing people can do is tie Cinder blocks to the bottom on the coop.
I do this for my carport (even my huge $4000 metal one) just to be on the safe side, along with rebar that is 3 feet long. Rebar will do nothing if the ground is wet wet and wind lifts up the roof.
Plus it can help hold down a skirt around the coop :)

I don't know if you have a Northern Tool, but the one by me sells these large plastic stakes.

The wide ones with teeth are $4.99 each and the thinner ones are $1.99. You could put an eye bolt in the frame and attach a cable or chain and nail it in.
