It started with just circling and then landing in the distance. Now every day a pair of Ravens are standing about 20ft from the coop just watching the chickens and they’re getting braver. The used to fly away as soon as they saw me but now they don’t care. I’m very nervous. Should I be worried? I usually have the girls free ranging but I’m seeding some pasture grass at the moment so for the next few weeks so until it has a good chance to grow the girls are going to have to be out away. Could the ravens simple be curious on why the girls haven’t been let out and been wondering where they were? I know they’re super smart birds. I’ve seen them flying around before when the girls were out and never had problems. Tried to get a photo just now but they started flying.

No Ravens here but we do have Crows. They will drive the hawks off but also look for eggs on the ground. Years ago I free ranged then stopped due to predators, then the crows would get any eggs that were layed on the ground in the pasture then in the pens until I covered the pens but now I give them stuff and they hang around. There have been a couple of young Red-Tailed hawks around lately. The crows have chased them off but they come back.
