One more question (not sure if it was addressed earlier).
The one time my e-fence was breached, it was late summer (bone dry) plus I was still using polyrope (too much slack). My neighbor's three huskies got loose and ran into my yard. I didn't see it happen, but found two step-in posts knocked over, so I'm guessing they saw chickens and barged right through the fence. if they felt a zap, it was too late as they were already inside.
With wild animals, I can periodically bait the fence and "train" them. Is there a long term "bait" that might slow down big loose dogs? (I haven't had problems since I switched to high tensile wire, but am trying to think ahead)
