Adding 1 chicken to 5 chicks

We had a small flock of 3 regular sized chickens. 2 suddenly died yesterday, we are expecting from heat stoke. We have a small second flock of 4 bantam silkies, who are 7 weeks old. can I introduce the 1 full size chicken to the 4 chicks?

If it were the other way around, I'd say no, it won't work very well, but in your situation, I think it might. The bigger chicken is outnumbered, even though they are so much smaller than her, but I don't think she'd peck them seeing as she's alone.

I'd try it. Just watch them for a few minutes. The worst that happens is you have to remove her. She may actually appreciate their company.
