My quails were all fine yesterday but this morning I went outside and one of them is barely conscious what do I do? He’s alive and moving his head and feet around but he won’t stand up or hold his head up

First thing is get some electrolytes into him to try and give him a bit of energy to buy him some time. then go over a list of possible diseases, parasites, respiratory, Ulcerative Enteritis, etc.

My bad! this video shows a homemade mix you can make but I find store ones help a bit more. <3
Here's some different (popular electrolyte mixes)

This one works well too!

There's a lot more brands but these are just some popular ones. I think the dosage might be less with quail so I would google before administering. These can be bought at basically any feed store. good luck! :hugs

I would try some Nutri-Drench for a quick energy boost.

How old is he?
What are you feeding him?
what does his poop look like?
How tall is his coop/pen/enclosure?

My first guess is that he may have hit his head, but it's hard to say without a lot more information.

He passed away I don’t know what happened he seemed like he was doing a lot better
I'm sorry :( These things are so hard. At least he was doing a bit better before he passed so maybe he died a bit more peacefully... This stuff hurts but remember that he is no longer suffering. I don't know how attached you were to your quail but regardless of your relationship I offer condolences.
