Advice needed!

What dose are you giving? It's not really supposed to be mixed in with the water but individual dose for the sick bird. When did you start the tiaguard?
Just yesterday, how much should I give her then? I put about 1 ML in the water.

I found her yesterday sitting down in a ball while almost gasping for air and making loud squeaking noises almost like sneezing, but so bad that her entire body moves with the sneezing. She’s the only one out of all my 10 hens with these symptoms.

I’m currently giving her nutri boost, vet rx, and triguard. I’ve seen her try to eat a little bit but gets interrupted by a sneeze. Haven’t seen her drink and have tried to give her some through a drip, but it’s hard with her sneezing so much.

Just yesterday, how much should I give her then? I put about 1 ML in the water.
Tiagard (Tiamulin, Denagard) is formulated to go in the drinking water. Dosage is 8ml per 1 gallon of drinking water.

Tiamulin is used to treat only Mycoplasma in poultry.
Tiamulin is very bitter, so you will need to sweeten the water with juice or karo syrup to make it more palatable.

You *can* give the dose orally if you wish, if she's sneezing a lot, it may be hard to syringe the dose into her, but you can try.

Look inside her beak for any lesions or canker. She began sneezing when you introduced or put all of them together last week? Have you ever had respiratory illness within your existing flock?

Sneezing constantly, does she have an obstruction? What's her crop like?
If you want to give it orally, the dose is 25 mg/kg
1 / 2.2 x 25 / 125 = 0.09 ml per pound.

0.025% per gallon is ~946 mg per gallon, I would round up to 1000 mg per gallon.
Denagard is 125 mg per 1 ml
1000 / 125 = 8 ml per gallon.

Does that help?

She’s doing much better as of today, I looked inside her mouth yesterday and everything looks clear, her crop is not super full, but it’s not empty either. Yesterday she ate really good and some dried worms. She started sneezing the day after it snowed and temperature dropped to the teens. Which was about five days after adding her to the main flock.Everyone else is doing well. I’ve had upper respiratory issues with my flock before, but haven’t had any issues with that a little over a year now and the coop has also been moved since then. Thank you for the medicine ratio!

I'm glad she's doing better. Perhaps she got something in her airway and was experiencing Stridor. Hard to know.

Either way, since you've started the Tiagard (Tiamulin), I'd finish the course of 3-5 days with her.

It's good that you've gone so long without issues. If you do start having others showing symptoms - investigate to see if ventilation is adequate - we tend to want to close up ventilation when it's cold, but this can actually worsen symptoms, they need fresh air. Sometimes new bedding, especially straw is so dusty, this can cause some acute symptoms which usually subsides in a couple of days. BUT, if you don't have something like these factors at play, treat everyone with the Tiagard. Some folks that have MG+ flocks treat for 3 days each month as a maintenance.
