One of our seven hens, an Americauna named Goldie, starting acting odd Tuesday. She was isolating herself and stayed in a box for a long time. We checked her Wednesday morning and her crop felt good, so we began to suspect egg binding. I worked with her and managed to pull something I can only describe as rubbery out of her sphincter. In the afternoon she rallied and we thought we had dodged the bullet. This morning she wouldn’t open her eyes and again isolated.
I have now put her in a crate away from the other chickens. I gave her water with a syringe

and put her upside down to see if it was sour crop - nothing. I then gloved up, used mineral oil and put my finger up her sphincter and felt nothing. I have massaged her belly front to back and have massaged her crop. Goldie did pass some waste this morning but it was mostly liquid.
We are leaving Saturday 6am for a 9 day trip and I am hoping not to leave the neighbors caring for a dying chicken.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Start giving her Calcium Citrate+D3 asap. You can find this at Walmart, CVS, etc. Pull down on the wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow. Give 1 tablet once daily. This will hopefully help her push out any material.

I wouldn't feel inside the vent anymore, this can be distressing and possible to push material back up the oviduct.

See that she's drinking well.
