Agressive Cockerel Only To Wife

Update… Clark was doing well but this morning I was filling food and water and he decided it was time to try me. I had jeans on so no problem for me, but not good for him. He finally hit his last straw so when I make time.. he will be headed to the freezer I believe.
Probably the best decision unfortunately. Unless you plan to hatch eggs there’s really no reason to have a roo anyway.

Beautiful dog there!

Just culled my Clark… I am an avid hunter of waterfowl and deer but man… that was tougher than expected having to take him out. My wife was against it because we raised him from a baby and this is our first flock. I was plenty okay with taking him out after being aggressive with us but when it cane time.. i did feel like almost not doing it. But it is done and time to start processing him! Thank you again for everyones wisdom and doing the right thing with his aggressiveness!

Good on you for doing what needed to be done. Ik your wife may not be happy about it now, but she will be now that she can tend the chickens in peace without being spurred. It's never easy to cull an animal, especially one you raised yourself but you did the right thing and kept everyone safe
