We are looking to replenish our flock, and are wondering where to get them because hatcheries have a minimum and we don't need as many as their minimum is. Looking for laying purposes.

We would like one Araucana, One French Black Copper Maran, One Olive Egger, and One Standard Cochin. With a possible Delaware.

Preferably all chicks, but we are also fine with pullets if they have been socialized and are sweet. These are mostly going to be pet chickens, as we don't really care about how many eggs we get. So, a good personality if it is a pullet is a must.

Hello! :frow I don’t have any of the breeds you’re looking for, but if you’d like, you may see if Valley Farms Hatchery in Alabama has anything you’d be interested in.

I will most certainly inform you if I was to stumble upon the rarer breeds, such as the Araucana. Best wishes, and you might also want to check out Craigslist, as well. :D

We have already looked there, but the limit is 3 chicks for each breed, and we don't need that many. We just want to have 4 chickens, all different breeds. Otherwise, we would check there. We have also checked Craigslist and can't find any of the breeds we want.

Try Meyer Hatchery. You can mix and match to meet their minimum ... which is only three.

Try searching the NPIP website by state:

The stock codes for the breeds you mentioned are below. These stock codes are listed on the above link on the left side.

Maybe you'll find a place that is driving distance from you! Don't forget, some places are small and sell via Facebook or Craig's List, rather than having a website.

Where are you located in AL? I know someone in NW AL who I do NOT recommend, who had French Cooper Maran, straight run. I have the sickest hen I got last week. There is a man in Leoma, TN who sales Black Copper Marans, who seems reputable.
