Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Wow! Sounds like *some people* are going on a road trip! We are, too...we're going to trade that mean ol' RIR for something a little more easy-going. Not sure what, yet.
Happy Friday Eve!

Ms-AK-Bird-Brain, your Lavenders are BEAUTIFUL!

#3 and if Bonnie isn't interested I'll take #1 also. ONLY if Bonnie doesn't want her/him.

I'll take #1 and probably the older hen too...

JUST to be sure!

I think there's a "swap meet" in Palmer from time to time, but I don't know where.

Bonnie, you got it. #2 Splash silkie is mine, then, and hoping for a boy to replace my blue rooster that got seriously beat up.

I updated the captions, but #1,2,3,6&7 are spoken for.

I do have a couple of dark blue orpington pullets that can go to a new home. I have 3 splash chicks in the brooder, but I have no idea if they're boys or girls yet. A couple more weeks and I'll know.

Here's one...

She's $15.

I'd like to know that too! I'd be willing to feed some.

I have been using 3/4 soaked barley, 1/4 crumbles and some fishmeal. They have been eating this for several months and are happy. I let them free range for about 3-4 hours a day as well weather permitting. Does that help? I had to cut my bill too....
They eat the barley first by the way, then crumbles... It was the opposite when I started changing over.....

Does the barley have to be soaked? I free feed mine, so soaking might be a problem.
