Allergic to my chickens

I would love to live west, low humidity, I can actually breathe in Colorado. But becareful with sand, a lot of it has silica and that's very hard on your lungs and respiratory system.

In addition to allergy meds, I take low dose asprin, zinc, C, and D.
I've just been taking multi-vitamins and D+ as we northerners have to as we get no sun for 4-6 months lol. I might try the other two though!

Otherwise, Loratadine, Cetirizine (one or the other) and Flonase are what I've been taking. She just wrote me today as I had written her my allergies are getting so much worse and asking what she suggested since my physical isn't until next month. I got "There are options. We have options that are prescription that help to reduce histamines. I'd also like to refer you to an allergist to see if there are other options and to see what is causing your symptoms. Are these options you'd like to try?" I replied, "Yes, please," earlier today.

I don't know about flonase, but those nasal inhalers killed me, they actually made it worse and the more I used them the more I needed to use them. I can't remember what brand.

I only used it when it was so bad my eyes wouldn't stop watering. Normally, I just use one or the other pills and not the nose spray.

Good point about the sand! I haven’t ever used sand but if I did, I would try to find the largest grain sand I could find.

And that’s so funny about the west - I actually had almost zero allergies when I moved to Indiana for a couple of years. I am hyper allergic to tumbleweed and all the deserty plants. Getting out of where you live (no matter what climate you currently live in) and going to a new climate often helps a lot with allergies because you aren’t sensitized to the new environment.
