While Blackjack #57 ("premium rubberized coating for waterproofing roofs & foundations") is being tried and true on this forum, I absolutely unable to get it in my province (we don't even have Lowes here and they won't ship).

Would Black Knight "18.9L All Season Rubberized Roof Repair" from HD (https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.189l-all-season-rubberized-roof-repair.1000164501.html) do the same job? Did anyone try any other coating than Blackjack successfully?

Or this "Liquid Rubber Foundation Sealant/Basement Coating - 5 Gallon - Black - Environmentally Friendly - Water Based" https://www.amazon.ca/Liquid-Rubber-Foundation-Sealant-Basement/dp/B071X7TYYM/ ?

I wish they listed the "ingredients" for comparison. The Black Knight one does not seem to be a similar product - it looks to be for use on metal and concrete instead of wood (assuming your floor is wood).

The Liquid Rubber one sounds like a possible alternative - no VOCs, says it can be used on wood, metal, concrete, plus it has similar application instructions to Black Jack #57 does. The reviews make me think this could work.

I’d say go with the liquid rubber from amazon. It looks closer to Blackjack 57. The other looks like it would be too thick, I actually think it’s what I used when I had a leaky roof. That was a pain to work with, and easier to spread with a putty knife than a brush.

does it matter that it does not say "rubberized" anywhere? ("Liquid Rubber" is a brand name, not the property of the product), also it is for foundations (i.e. vertical walls with less sun exposure or foot traffic) - less durable?

Well sun exposure shouldn't be in a problem inside most coops, even if you have windows, as the floor will have bedding over it.

I don't know if the inclusion of rubber is essential or not. And unless someone else has tried the exact product and can respond, I don't know if it's equally durable.

Something like Blackjack is probably the ultimate floor covering. However I have used porch paint with good results. I used it on a wood utility trailer and picnic table that both sit outside with no issues after a couple of years.

I've put 2-3 coats on both my coop floors and had no problems. I do kind of a deep litter system with pine shavings and only change it out 2-3 times a year. It stays really dry, even dusty. As long as the bedding is staying dry , I think just about any decent exterior paint should protect the floor for years.
