Hi! This is my first time dealing with chicken sickness so I could use any and all advice, please!

My Martha (11 month old Ameraucana) is making a sound every time she breathes. Video:
I also caught her sneezing twice but I didn't catch that on video. She is otherwise acting normally, following me around and pecking at the ground and being chicken-y. I have one other chicken who lives in the same coop and she seems fine.

I'm not sure if this is an emergency and if I should take her to a 24/7 vet or if it's something that will clear up on its own. Is there medicine I can buy at a feed store or online that could help? Will she be okay to wait a day? Is my other chicken at risk and should I separate them somehow?

Please let me know what you guys think. Thank you.

In the background I can hear another hen with strider. The hen in the video is just making normal sounds. That is a sound made when they get a small piece of feed or mucus in their airway. Usually, it clears up in a few hours. But if it is accompanied by head shaking and sneezing, that may be a respiratory disease. Let us know if the sounds goes away.

What is strider? The other hen in the background (Olivia!) isn't showing any signs of being sick thankfully and that's what she normally sounds like.

The hen in the video has sneezed a couple times that I've noticed. What should I do in the case of respiratory disease?

I will definitely keep y'all posted on this thread!

I would not do anything unless she develops other symptoms, such as watery, bubbly or foamy eye, nasal drainage, swollen eyelids, or frequent head shaking. All chickens sneeze occasionally if dust or feed get into the nostrils. If they do it every few minutes, that could be a virus, but I would check to see that her nostrils are clear of feed. The chicken in the background does have stridor. She probably has a piece of feed stuck in her throat. They usually don’t have any distress, and eventually cough it up. You can hear the chicken in this video below in post one who has stridor:

Ohhh I was confused because the chicken in my video is the one making that stridor sound, not the one in the background! 😆 Thank you SO much for your reply! The link to that other post was super helpful, that's the same sound and everything. I'll give her a once over and make sure her nostrils are clear. Hopefully it clears up soon. I'll post an update when I have one! Thanks again!
