A breeder suggested we medicate our chicks with this, we have two Pekin bantam chicks that are a week old, any advice from someone who has used this product before or knows anything about it?

Why though?

Amprolium at that level is for treating coccidiosis, and week-old chicks are too young to actually be able to get it. If you wanted to give them something to prevent it, you could go with just a medicated feed.

Edit: I just looked at the package and it does have dosage for prevention on it. You can't give the chicks any vitamins containing Thiamin while you are giving them that. After you're done, I'd surely give them some vitamin water for a week or two afterward though.

I’m not sure the breeder suggested it, what age can they get it? And is there any point giving it to them if they don’t have it?

Three to six weeks is when they are most vulnerable to coccidiosis. If they are kept dry and clean bedding, then put outside early on, they'll develop a resistance on their own.

When it's too cold outside for them I've taken a shovel and gotten a small chunk of grass with dirt and put that right in the brooder. That exposes them on a small extent what they'll be exposed to later.

I've used medicated feed for chicks I've gotten from someone else though, just never ones I hatch here.
