Hi everyone!
I got 6 chicks from our local feed store on February 14th. They are 6 weeks old now. I just added two more chicks from a neighbor who also got her chicks from the same feed store on the same day. However, the chicks I just got from her are almost half the size of my chicks. They are not bantam.
My original chicks are buff brahma, black sex link, 3 "rainbows", and what was supposed to be a RIR but is actually looking like a Welsummer.
New chicks are silver laced wyandotte and what is supposed to be a blue laced red wyandotte.
I fed my chicks medicated feed for the first couple weeks. She did not. That is the only thing I know could be making a difference in size. I worry that the new chicks aren't as healthy because there size. Any advice is appreciated.
