Animal attack

Update. Almost 4 weeks now. She started laying eggs the day after Christmas. She’s wanting to be outside. I tried to let her spend time with the flock. There were some altercations and lots comb grabbing. Then she went for a dust bath, as I figured she would. So she came in and had a bath and treatment applied to the area. I ordered some new longer aprons that have a black feather design on them so maybe the flock will not try to peck the polka dots off. I’ll have the keep the dust bathing area closed to all while she visits the flock but they need to stay in contact. She has been in the crate next to the chicken yard fence for now during the day.
I would’ve never believed this.

Wow - the wound is looking better. She is such a pretty lady and lucky to have you caring for her. She's surely missing being part of the flock so controlled time with them is good. There may be some pecking order squabbles upon re-integration after such a lengthy time but seeing each other helps. Best of luck and Happy New Year.
